Last Thursday saw the official opening of the Atlantis Hotel located on the Palm Island. The highlight of the launch party, which cost a hefty 20 million dollars, was a terrific firework display. More than 2,000 world celebrities were invited to the event, which began Thursday night and continued into Friday. Among those who showed up were Hollywood stars Robert de Niro, Charlize Theron, Mischa Barton and Wesley Snipes; the Beckhams also made an appearance and Kylie Minogue performed a number of her songs.
Mr O'Brien wasn't famous enough to be allowed into the party but he had a great view of the fireworks that could apparentlly be seen from space. Check out his photographs.

I saw the fire works from outside my window they were amazing i loved it soon as i saw it my eyes were stuck to it. I also saw it on t.v. when i saw it lit up the whole palm i was imaging i was on the palm it would of been amazing.........
